Soft salmon pink camellia flowers bloom across this elegant Patchin bag, transforming a traditional Japanese furoshiki into a beautifully finished handbag that's ready to carry from day one. Crafted from organic cotton and paired with smooth magnetic wooden Patchin handles, it combines timeless Japanese design with effortless everyday practicality.
A Patchin is an ingenious Japanese wooden handle with hidden magnets that transforms a furoshiki (square piece of cloth) into a handbag with just two simple knots. The magnetic handles securely snap together to help keep your belongings in place, while still allowing the furoshiki to be easily untied and removed. Swap in another furoshiki cloth whenever you'd like a new look—or use the cloth on its own for gift wrapping, carrying a bento box lunch, or wearing as a scarf.
This bag is made with a medium, 27.56" x 27.56" (70 × 70 cm) organic cotton furoshiki and a pair of wooden Patchin handles. You can use the handles with any medium or large size furoshiki cloth.
As a general sizing guideline when wrapping, furoshiki works best when it's about three times larger than the item being wrapped, giving the fabric plenty of room for beautiful folds and secure knots.
This collection comes from Musubi, a third-generation Japanese company based in Kyoto that has specialized in authentic furoshiki since 1937. Beautiful, reusable, and thoughtfully made, each furoshiki is designed to be used again and again—becoming part of your family's traditions and creating new memories with every fold.
