Sugimoto Tea has been producing authentic Japanese green tea since 1946, partnering directly with tea growers in Shizuoka, Japan. Their teas are carefully crafted, nitrogen-flushed and vacuum sealed for freshness, delivering vibrant flavor and exceptional quality from harvest to cup.
Named Kochi (東風), meaning "eastern wind," this first-flush ceremonial matcha celebrates the arrival of spring and the vibrant freshness of newly harvested tea leaves. Smooth and beautifully balanced, it offers gentle umami, natural sweetness, and a clean finish with very little bitterness. Crafted for traditional whisked matcha, Kochi also makes an exceptionally refined matcha latte for those who prefer a more delicate, nuanced flavor.
