Quilled Starry Night, Van Gogh Greeting Card

Part of the Artist Series, the Quilled Starry Night Van Gogh Greeting Card recreates the artist’s iconic masterpiece in intricate coils of colorful paper. Swirling shades of blue, luminous stars and the glowing moon bring the celebrated night sky to life in remarkable three-dimensional detail.

Quilling Card is honored to hold the Guinness World Record title for the Largest Quilling Paper Mosaic (Image) for its monumental interpretation of Van Gogh’s The Starry Night. Completed in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on April 8, 2022, the mosaic comprises 285 pieces and measures an extraordinary 15.09 feet tall by 19.07 feet wide. It took 300 artisans 3,399 hours to complete, using 18 colors, 191,948 paper strips and nearly 12,000 grams of glue. The record-breaking work was created to commemorate National Quilling Day and Quilling Card’s 10th anniversary. This intricately quilled greeting card shares the magic of that remarkable achievement and inspires us all to shoot for the stars.

Quilling is the art of rolling, coiling and shaping small strips of paper to create a cohesive three-dimensional design and has been practiced for centuries. Historians have been able to date the art form back to ancient Egyptian times, when crafters would use a bird’s feather, or quill, as the tool around which they coiled the paper.
